You might not expect it amidst the gleaming metallic structures of Putrajaya, but there is a pretty impressive street market here every Friday from sundown. Along with a variety of hot food from different vendors ranging from burgers and hot dogs (with chicken) to Malaysian nasi lemak and murtabak, there is something for all tastes. Less so for vegans, but you guys can eat corn. Stop complaining, it's good corn.Apart from stuffing your face right now, you can buy the ingredients with which to stuff your face for later in the week. All the fresh fruit and veg, meat and fish you could wish for. It's not always easy to find a good selection of fresh food in these parts so the market offers a great alternative to the usual spots.
If that's not enough for you, there are clothes stalls, toys and various other oddments for sale at extremely low prices. That should be enough for you. Find the market right opposite the ministry of Finance in Precinct 2, Putrajaya on Friday evenings.
