The Putra Mosque may look like it has been around for a couple of hundred years, but in fact construction only finished in 1999. It sits majestically lakeside, and it`s striking pink dome draws the eyes of anyone passing within a kilometre radius.
You don`t have to be of the Muslim faith to visit, although you won`t be able to wander about inside disturbing those who come to pray, and there is a dress code to abide by. Women will be asked to don a rather fetching robe (as enthusiastically modeled here) when they enter the gates, and no shoes in the main prayer hall.Visiting times are as follows-
Saturday to Thursday: 9am-12.30pm, 2-4pm, 5.30-6pm
Friday: 3-4pm, 5.30-6pm
