This is the place you had in your mind when you were imagining eating out in Malaysia.  You just didn't know it.

Jalan Alor is a street, but it's better than a regular old street.  This is a street lined with outdoor restaurants serving pretty much anything your heart desires and a few things your heart didn't even know existed before you came here.  Plus beer.


There is a great buzz about the area, feels like you have arrived at the beating heart of the city.  In fact it is probably more like the bulging stomach of the city, but that works just as well.  It gets pretty thronged so you might have to wander about until somebody hauls you over to an available table, but that just gives you the chance to check out the available options.  If you are in KL you have got to seek this place out - it's not hard to find so go get yourself some good eats.
